Professional Services Technical Consultant

The APTARE Professional Services team is looking for a Technical Consultant to deliver first-class consulting services to APTARE customers and partners throughout the world. In this role you will be responsible for the full services project lifecycle, beginning with requirements gathering, scoping the services engagement, through hands-on delivery and project management of the implementation and custom report writing service tasks. Project may be of either an external customer-facing nature, or internal where the project is to improve, customize and extend the APTARE StorageConsole product.

Travel is required, but some services can be delivered remotely after the initial software installation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in technical consulting or support role in Enterprise Software - preferably Storage (hardware/software) or Backup technology
• Previous responsibility for scoping and delivering software customization or deployment projects
• Hands-on experience with Enterprise Software, UNIX, systems administration and Oracle or other relational databases
• Highly analytical with ability to work with customers in a professional manner in high pressure situations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Required Technical Skills:

• Web technology experience (e.g. supported products utilizing Apache, Tomcat, XML, java)
• Experience with Storage Administration (EMC, HDS, NetApp etc.) or Enterprise backup software
• (NetBackup, Tivoli Storage Manager, Legato NetWorker, HP Data Protector)
Excellent knowledge of SQL
• Oracle PL/SQL report development is a plus

Education:

• BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
