Software Quality Assurance

The APTARE Engineering team is looking for a Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer to direct and execute the QA function. Specific responsibilities include:

• Developing the overall QA strategy
• Hands-on testing of the software application
• Developing, implementing and supporting the test automation framework
• On-going development of automated test cases for new features and improved coverage for regression testing
• Setup and on-going administration of the QA lab environment including systems administration
• Helping maintain the software build process
• Managing the final software product build and release for customer download

Skills - Required:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA white and black box testing
• Previous experience playing a QA leadership role
• Extensive experience with automation to cover regressions for software products.
• Knowledge of Java, JSP, Java Script and SQL programming
• Comfortable in a Unix environment and experienced with Ajax
• Experience with testing web based applications
• Ability to test software with minimal supervision and under pressure
• Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken

Skills - Desired

• Experience managing test environments, build and release processes
• Experience working with NetApp, Hitachi / EMC Storage Arrays and SAN / NAS
• Experience with relational databases
• Experience working with Backup Management Software such as Veritas NetBackup, Tivoli Storage Manager(TSM), Legato Networker, HP Data Protector etc.

Education

• BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent experience required.
