SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Our software engineering team is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to help drive the high quality product and customer acceptance and satisfaction that our customers expect. Some of the responsibilities include writing test cases and test plans, setting up test environments, executing test cases, opening bug reports, maintaining QA lab VMs, updating QA procedures, reporting status, and other QA related tasks. Help improve project by providing proactive QA approaches.
Skills - Required
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in QA
- Previous QA experience working in a Linux environment
- Individual should have experience with software quality assurance principles and methodologies with a high commitment to quality
- Should be comfortable working with any version of SQL
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Experience with testing web-based applications including cross-browser applications and testing
- Works well with tight timelines and multiple projects
- Makes decision about priorities and interdependencies affecting product release
- Curiosity to learn and to investigate the source of software application defects
- Ability to look at the big picture of our application and identify solutions that apply to more than one product
Skills - Desired
- Knowledge of Java, JSP, Java Script, Perl and Python programming
- Knowledge of any QA automation tool, such as Selenium, QTP or Silk
- Knowledge of any formal bug tracking system, such as Bugzilla or JIRA
- Knowledge of any test management tool, such as Testlink or Quality Center
Education
- BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or equivalent experience required.
