The patent is the foundation of the APTARE StorageConsole suite of products.  Utilizing the common architecture incorporated in this patent allows the APTARE StorageConsole product suite to deliver meaningful and actionable real-time metrics on enterprise storage environments.

Extending the central concept of a “hub and spoke” architecture, this patent is also applicable to offering storage reporting and management through a software as a service (SaaS) offering. Central to this patent is the ability to securely “push” storage meta data from disparate systems to a centralized portal using standard Internet protocols without being requested or polled.
