New Features Detail
Web 2.0 Architecture
The APTARE StorageConsole interface has been completely redesigned using
WEB 2.0 technologies. Leveraging AJAX and other WEB 2.0 technologies
brings a new level of functionality and simplicity like "drag &
drop" reports.
"Drag & Drop" Functionality
Now organizing your reports is as simple as using a mouse. Create your
own customized dashboards or move a saved report to a new folder by
simply "dragging and dropping" it with a mouse. Report management
has never been easier.
Customizable Dashboards
The new APTARE StorageConsole for Backup Manager let's you create your
own custom dashboards. Build a dashboard by selecting any report and
dragging it onto the new dashboard canvas. Add as many reports as you
want.
Advanced Report Filtering
Now get even more granular when you define the scope your reports. Drag
and drop multiple server groups or servers to create a list. Then filter
your results further by selecting any user-defined "attribute" (i.e.
policy name, operating system etc.).
Share Dashboards And Reports
You can share an unlimited number of dashboards and reports with APTARE
StorageConsole users or groups. Your shared reports automatic appear
in their report navigator under "Shared Reports".
Tabbed browsing
Easily review several different open reports with tabbed browsing. Each
report opens up a new tab instead of a new browser window. This minimizes
your time spent toggling among different reports and creates a bread
crumb trail of recent open reports.
Email Reports And Dashboards
Email your important reports or dashboards to anyone with a simple click.
The report can be sent in all the popular formats: PDF, CSV, or HTML
file. Choose to send the email immediately, or create a recurring sending
schedule. Sharing reports with a group now allows you to share reports
with a predefined group of users.

Server Group Administration
Server group management is even more flexible. Easily create and modify
server groups right from the browser. Assign single or multiple clients
to any server group all at once.
Advanced User Administration
Administrators now have more control in managing users in APTARE StorageConsole.
Users may be granted access to different server groups, privileges,
and associated with different groups.
Report Designer Wizard
Now you can easily build customized SQL reports using the Ad Hoc Report
Designer. It lets you easily build SQL queries against the underlying
Oracle database for creating the specific report you need.
Report Finder
APTARE StorageConsole now makes it easy to find the report you need
using an intuitive search bar. Enter in any search word or phrase and
a list of reports is defined as the term is entered. It even supports
wild card search.
Support for HP Data Protector
Now APTARE StorageConsole for Backup Manager provides detailed reporting
for HP Data Protector 5.5 and 6.0. All information is collected using
agentless web architecture. Now manage your entire HP Data Protector
environment through one centralized, real-time console.
